About this role
Graduate Recruitment Consultant
Location: London
Are you a Russell Group graduate looking for a career where your ambition directly impacts your earnings? We’re looking for driven, commercially minded graduates from Russell Group universities to join our growing team as Graduate Recruitment Consultants.
If you’ve graduated from a university such as UCL, LSE, Warwick, Bristol, Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham, Durham or another leading institution, and you’re looking for a fast-paced, high-performance environment where you can progress quickly and earn on merit, this could be the perfect opportunity.
You don’t need previous recruitment experience. We’re looking for intelligent, ambitious graduates with strong communication skills, a competitive mindset and the determination to succeed.
What will you be doing? As a Graduate Recruitment Consultant, you’ll take ownership of your own recruitment desk, working with leading businesses and talented professionals to connect the right people with the right opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Business development: Building relationships with new clients and identifying opportunities to grow your market.
Candidate sourcing: Finding and engaging high-calibre professionals through LinkedIn, networking and direct outreach.
Relationship management: Developing long-term relationships with clients and candidates.
Negotiation: Managing interviews, offers and salary negotiations to secure successful placements.
Commercial growth: Working towards targets, maximising commission and developing your own client portfolio.
Market expertise: Becoming a specialist in your chosen industry and building a reputation as a trusted recruitment partner.
Who are we looking for? We want ambitious graduates who are ready to challenge themselves and build something meaningful.
You’ll ideally have:
A degree from a Russell Group university.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A competitive, resilient and goal-oriented mindset.
The confidence to build relationships and engage with senior professionals.
Strong motivation to achieve financial success and career progression.
The ability to thrive in a target-driven, fast-paced environment.
A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Your degree subject is less important than your mindset. Whether you studied Economics, History, Law, Politics, Engineering, Business or another discipline, we want to hear from graduates who are commercially minded and eager to succeed.
What’s in it for you? Competitive basic salary: £28,000–£35,000, depending on experience and fit.
Uncapped commission: Reward directly linked to your performance.
Realistic earning potential: £40,000–£60,000+ OTE in your first year, depending on performance.
Fast-track progression: Clear opportunities to progress into senior consultant, management and leadership positions.
Structured training: Learn sales, negotiation, business development and recruitment from experienced professionals.
High-performance culture: Work alongside ambitious, like-minded people who want to succeed.
Incentives and rewards: Performance-based bonuses, team events and additional rewards where offered.
Why recruitment? Recruitment is a career where your effort, commercial ability and relationship-building skills can make a tangible difference. You’ll develop transferable business skills, build a valuable professional network and have the opportunity to increase your earnings as you progress.
For ambitious graduates who enjoy competition, responsibility and measurable results, recruitment offers a compelling alternative to more traditional graduate schemes.
Ready to take the next step? If you’re a Russell Group graduate with the ambition to succeed, the confidence to build relationships and the drive to exceed expectations, we want to hear from you.
