Graduate Planner

Graduate Town Planner London Are you a recent Planning graduate looking to start your career with a consultancy where you'll be given real responsibility from day one? I'm currently working with an ambitious and growing independent planning consultancy in London who are looking to appoint a Graduate Town Planner to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a genuine interest in planning and wants to build their career within a consultancy that works on a diverse range of projects across the UK. The role As a Graduate Town Planner, you'll work closely with experienced planners and be involved across the full planning process. You'll gain exposure to a variety of projects, clients and planning matters, while developing your technical knowledge and commercial understanding. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting the preparation and submission of planning applications * Undertaking planning research and policy reviews * Assisting with planning appraisals and development proposals * Preparing planning reports and supporting documentation * Liaising with clients, consultants and local authorities * Attending site visits and planning meetings * Monitoring planning applications and appeals * Supporting senior members of the team across a range of projects About you The client is looking for someone who is academically strong, driven and genuinely wants to build a career in town planning. You'll ideally have: A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, Geography or a closely related subject * A strong academic background, with A or B grades at A-Level * Ideally, or working towards, RTPI accreditation * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong attention to detail * A genuine interest in the built environment and development * The ambition to progress within a consultancy environment * A proactive and personable approach Most importantly, they're looking for someone with the right attitude.
